Mark is an excellent inspector. He is very thorough and explained every part of the inspection in detail. As first time home buyers, this information is crucial and made us aware of how to repair minor damages and what preventive measures can be taken to maintain your property. Every inch and every crevice was inspected, that to me is excellent service. He is also very friendly and personable, which puts you at ease during the inspection. If anyone asks us who they should use as a home inspector, Michael and I give you four thumbs up!

Mark is a methodical, thorough inspector who really knows his stuff, but best of all he is also extremely personable, honest and an all-around great guy. He takes his time to thoroughly explain his findings, and provides context. As an agent who has sat through hundreds of home inspections, and is pretty darn picky when it comes to referring anyone, I can confidently say Mark is an excellent inspector. You’ll come away from his inspection confident in having a comprehensive understanding and intimate knowledge of the property your are buying. I have also used his inspections when selling, and because of the thoroughness and credibility of the reports, they are perfect for making buyers feel confident in the condition of the property and to submit a firm offer.

Mark is a professional in every sense of the word. He arrived early and immediately began assessing what we could. His knowledge is VAST to say the least, not only did he come with everything he needed and more to inspect the home he did provided updates as he went from different sections of the house. He informed on what needed to be addressed and also what was good to know. Would rate higher than 5 stars if I could. Will hands down use Mark again in the future.

Working with Mark was a great experience. Being from Switzerland, I leaned a lot on how homes are built in Canada, especially when in comes to differences in specific details. I could easily tell that Mark has a lot of experience and an exceptional work ethics. When I arrived on time for the inspection, he was already sitting on the roof and had done most of the work that he could do without entering the house. I immediately felt in good hands. I especially like that even a month after inspection, I can still get back to him with questions and he still remembers all relevant details from the inspection. I’ve worked with Mark on two occasions and have found his input invaluable. The first time was on a potential home purchase, that during the course of the home inspection turned out to have many code issues, and questionable renovations. Needless to say, after learning this I went with a different property that was given the green light by Mark, and was extremely happy with the quality of the home I purchased. I recently purchased another much older home in the highly competitive GTA market, and as a result did not have a Home Inspection prior to purchase. I now regret this decision. Water and mold was discovered in the finished basement less than 24 hours after possession. This warranted an emergency call to the Home Coach to help assess the problem and figure out next steps to solve it. Having been involved in multiple bidding wars in the GTA, I understand the temptation to waive a home inspection, but after this frustrating and costly experience I recommend seeking professional help to ensure the largest investment you’ll make as a buyer is a good one. Mark Ellison was a very trustworthy and thorough home inspector who also was able to attend us right away despite the busy schedule. We are first time home buyers so we had a lot of questions for him but he took the time to answer all of them and the report that he delivered was thorough and well rounded. We are very pleased with his professional and excellent work. Home Coach did an amazing job doing our inspection. My mom and I just purchased our first condo together and we were initially a little worried there may be issues in the condo since it is an older building. Mark did a thorough job doing our inspection and gave us some great advice. We both felt more comfortable moving in after the inspection. Home Coach is just not there to do business, they mean well for their customers! I will recommend Home Coach to my family and friends!

We purchased our home without an inspection and chose to do one, six months post purchase. I called and Mark was immediately accommodating.
